Acceptance

By using studiocaol.com, signalmarket.studiocaol.com, or any service we offer, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.

Use of services

You may read, share, and reference our published content for personal and professional use, with appropriate attribution. You may not scrape, redistribute at scale, or republish our content as your own. You may not use the service in a way that interferes with its operation or the experience of other users.

Intellectual property

All content on the site — articles, frameworks, methodology, illustrations, photography, code, and the Studio Caol name and marks — is the property of Studio Caol or its licensors, protected by copyright and other applicable laws. Quoting and citing for legitimate editorial or educational purposes is welcome with attribution. Bulk reproduction or commercial use requires written permission.

Pre-orders and purchases

Signal Market is sold via pre-order. Payment is captured at checkout; the product ships in fall 2026. Pre-orders are fully cancellable any time before shipment for a full refund — email kyle@studiocaol.com.

Shipping is a flat $5 USD globally. We ship to every country Stripe Checkout supports.

Refund policy

Pre-orders (before shipment). Fully refundable at any time. Email kyle@studiocaol.com with your order number. We process refunds through Stripe within 5–10 business days.

After shipment — damage or defect. Replacement or full refund (your choice) within 30 days of delivery. Send a photo of the issue to kyle@studiocaol.com and we’ll resolve it.

After shipment — non-defect returns. Reviewed case by case within 30 days of delivery. Decks must be in resaleable condition (unopened or unused). Return shipping is the buyer’s responsibility unless the return is due to our error.

After 30 days. Returns are no longer accepted, but we’re happy to discuss exceptional circumstances on a case-by-case basis.

Cookie policy

We use cookies sparingly and only where necessary. Studio Caol does not use third-party advertising cookies, social media tracking pixels, or cross-site behavioral profiling.

Strictly necessary cookies. Stripe sets cookies during checkout to process payments and prevent fraud — these are essential to completing a purchase and cannot be disabled.

Analytics. We use cookieless analytics (Vercel Web Analytics) to measure aggregate page views and traffic sources. No tracking cookies are set, no personal data is collected, and no profiles are built across visits.

Studio admin. Sanity Studio sets authentication cookies for editorial access at /studio. These apply only to logged-in studio operators and not to public site visitors.

Data retention

We retain personal data only as long as needed to operate the service or comply with legal obligations.

Subscribers. Email and first name retained while your subscription is active. Unsubscribed records are removed within 30 days of the unsubscribe action.

Inquiries (contact form). Retained for up to 24 months for follow-up purposes, then archived or deleted.

Orders. Order records and associated customer data are retained for seven years to satisfy tax and financial-record obligations under applicable Canadian and US law. Stripe retains payment-method data per its own retention policy and PCI-DSS requirements.

Right of access and erasure. Email kyle@studiocaol.com to request a copy of your data, correct inaccuracies, or request deletion (subject to legal-retention obligations above).

Submissions

When you submit content through our forms — inquiries, source attribution, message text — you grant Studio Caol a non-exclusive license to read, store, and use that content to respond to you and operate our services. We treat your submissions as confidential and don’t share them externally except as described in our privacy policy.

Disclaimers

The site and its content are provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. While we work hard to keep the site accurate, useful, and operational, we don’t guarantee uninterrupted availability or fitness for any particular purpose. Foresight, strategy, and design content is offered as professional perspective — not guaranteed outcomes.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Studio Caol’s total liability for any claim arising out of your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute will be brought in the courts of Ontario.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after a change means acceptance of the updated terms.
