Studio Caol respects your privacy. This policy describes what we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over your data.
What we collect
When you subscribe, contact us, or pre-order Signal Market, we collect the information you provide directly: name, email address, organization (optional), source attribution (how you found us), and any message content you submit. For pre-orders, we additionally collect shipping address and order details through Stripe Checkout — payment card information is handled entirely by Stripe and never reaches our servers.
We do not currently use analytics or tracking cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy and surface clear consent on the site.
How we use it
We use your data to deliver the service you signed up for — send you our quarterly digest, respond to your inquiry, or fulfill your pre-order. We may also reach out about studio announcements relevant to your engagement (Signal Market production updates if you pre-ordered, for example). We don’t sell, rent, or share your data for advertising.
Third parties
We rely on a small set of trusted vendors to operate the studio: Stripe (payments), Airtable (subscribers, inquiries, orders), Vercel (hosting), Sanity (content management). Each receives only the data necessary for their role and operates under their own privacy commitments.
We do not transfer your data to any other third party without your consent, except as required by law.
Data retention
We retain subscriber and inquiry data for as long as your relationship with the studio is active. Order data is retained per applicable accounting and tax record-keeping requirements. You may request deletion at any time — see Your rights below.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete the data we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, email kyle@studiocaol.com. You can unsubscribe from the digest at any time using the link at the bottom of any email we send.
Children
Our services are intended for professional audiences and not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under that age.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, notify subscribers directly. Continued use of the site after a change means acceptance of the updated terms.
